So zombies walk the earth and want to kill every one. Where do you hide?

If this thread is going to work, we're going to need more than just two or three word answers.
Where would you hide, why, and what advantages would that location give you?
Historically, the tactical advantage has fallen to those with the high ground. No matter how many zombies there are, they can only come up that narrow staircase one at a time. Therefore, my choice is actually a church with a Bell tower. You can see a rescue attempt coming a long way away, the bell makes a signal for other survivors, and the staircases and ladders leading to the tower limit the ability of shamblors to reach you.
Churches usually also have a kitchen, used for either a soup kitchen or for Wednesday night fellowship dinners, or even just feeding coffee and donuts to the congregation. This means you have food to help you last a little longer if you need to, just eat the perishable stuff first in case the power goes and you lose the fridge.

Seeing as I live in Pittsburgh there really isn't much of a chance that I'd survive. I would, however, attempt to make it to the boiler for Pitt, CMU, and several local hospitals. This building has locked tunnels that extend to both universities and the hospitals, allowing discreet access to food, medical supplies, and the equipment necessary to radio out, research a cure, or whatever else I might feel like doing. Plus, the tunnels are narrow so if any zumbies got in then they would be easier to deal with.

Wow, just wow. That is simply brilliant. I now know why churches are popular hiding spots.

I forgot my entry lol. As for me, I live in Cali so I would set up a house off the coast with a tree house style suspension. Zombies can't swim and if they can, they still have to climb up one at a time up a ladder. Flood lights are a must to spot any suspicious activity in the water. A cheesy trip wire with soda cans would provide a cheap alarm to warn me of any zombies who are too close. I'll use as much metal as I can for the foundation and light materials (wood) for the main structure. I'd go out looking for supplies during the day and sleep safely at night . Hopefully i'd have two or three other survivors to take turns on lookout and repopulate the post Zombie Apocalyptic world

This depends on numerous factors.
If I'm alone, I would a) head to the nearest low key supermarket and stock up on canned goods and bottled water.
I would then head to the currently empty but operational correctional facility on the monaro highway. After ensuring a secure hideout, I would then take a bike to HMAS Crawford? Chatswood? Whatever it's called.
I'm assuming weapons will be available there, possibly other survivors to group up with, preferably marines to take back to the compound.
Once ammunition and weapons have been retrieved, the rest of the time would be spent going to shopping areas to retrieve canned food, bottled water and melee weapons (King of Knives, Sportsman's warehouse)
Hole up inside the compound after ensuring everything is secure. Weapons training would be performed deep in the complex to deaden the noise made by projectile weaponry.
In order to clear out zombies gathering around the outside of the fence, slats of wood with wholes able to fit a blade in between would be placed ovr bladed weaponry. These knives would then be used to poke through the fence holes and dispatch zombies one at a time.
The wood is on the knives to prevent a knife stuck in a zombies skull from being pulled through the gap in the fence, potentially losing a valuable melee weapon.
Noise discipline would be maintained outside. A fleet of bicycles would be maintained for search and supply missions. One of the first missions would be to a gardening store, in order to obtain the necessary seeds for growing fresh food.
Other search and supply missions would look for entertainment means. Books, balls, things we could use to create an environment that allowed entertainment (inside the compound of course) to try to maintain stability.
Given time, we may be able to begin education of any children with us, teaching them the necessary survival skills.
Naturally, water would be the most difficult thing to maintain, so during the beginning outbreak, all bottled water would be emptied into separate containers, and while running water was still available, these bottled water containers would be refilled, in order to stockpile as much water as possible, thereby reducing the need for search and supply missions.
Can you tell I've thought about this a lot?

You know, that's a good idea. We have a national guard armory in my town and although it's not well fortified it would hold supplies such as guns and ammo.
We also have a lot of pawn shops in town. Guns and ammo aplenty.
No city in America has more than a three day supply of food, so once the trucking industry stops bringing food, it's up to what you've already got or what you can grow. On the bright side, you'll have more food because of the reduced population. Unfortunately, the population that was reduced will now see you as a food source.

the first thing im doing, is going to Woodville Surplus, a army surplus store in Toledo Ohio. i realize the road will be hard, and very full of the walking dead, but if its early enough in the outbreak, no one will know about it, and ill just make my way there peacefully, now id expect that by the time i was done there the outbreak would have gotten the media's attention, or atleast my trusty /b/tards and interweb familys would have gotten the notice and spread the word.
if this were the case, this place would be great to hold up in, military surplus, everything you need... ammo, guns... awesome ass clothing.. now mind im not amember of the IRA, nor a gunfiend, or a red neck militia nut.. i just happen to know that looking good is half the battle, and you dont look more bad ass then wearing a soviet russian trench coat weilding AK-47s, flying a pirate flag.
but after i stocked up on ammo, clothing, guns, and all the swat/survival gear i needed... i would make my store a refuge for zombie hunters. and we will arm up, and become raiders of the wastes, protecting civilians and destroying the undead.

Me? I'd hijack the nearest helicopter, preferably Police or Army, and fly to an Oil Rig. Lots of handy lugwrenches for smashing rotting skulls, plenty of facilities (hospital, movie theater, enough space to start growing crops...) and virtually infinite fuel. I would then use that fuel to launch raids on the mainland to collect ammo, fellow survivors, a Desalinator, and other supplies. If possible, I would try to cleanse and capture an aircraft carrier, thus expanding my arsenal and living/crop space.

I would probably die. I have absolutely no idea where I could locally find guns, and those places would probably have already been raided by those that knew of them. I'd likely be dragged of by my parents to wherever they thought best, but given the chance, I'd head for a big stately home in the countryside that I work at. I know the estate really well and it would likely be relatively deserted. I'd like to imagine I could take a couple of zombies in mellee combat, so hopefully I'd overcome anything that came at me. Once I'd established a safe 'base' I'd likely travel to local farmhouses, searching for supplies, and returning to the stately home when finished. I'd try and help everyone that I could, which would probably be my downfall, either dying to save someone else, or letting an infected individual to get too close to me...
