I'm really sorry but I just talked to my dad and he said I can't do it. I'm so sorry..

Chill, it's fine.

I find that sound, sight, and reputation are as effective as actual rains of death. My RapidStrike (7.2v, rewired to bypass limiters, with an undisclosed undermount) sounds like a banshee. I spread the reputation as the nerf modding guru on campus- that was enough to make most zeds avoid me. That, and thwacking them from 60ft. Once I get the paintjob and EL wire, and sound system, I think it will qualify as shock and awe.

I have a wipe out butt...

Instead of making me guess, just tell me what you are actually willing to trade for 2 clips.

I got a firefly (painted) longshot, sharpshooter two, stampede, buzzbee hawk, magstrike and a load of hand blasters.
Do you have a pistol splat (old style), a rough cut, a sledgefire, or an airtech 2k/3k?

Not really and I meant to say trade.
What've you got?

If anyone is selling magstrike clips that would be great. I'd pay 20 dollars max.
I have 1 or 2 at home- do you need them soon?

Also don't like to harp, but I'm in college, and thus have the time for Nerf. (Makes total sense, right?)

I'm in college to be an engineer, on a campus that does nothing but engineering degrees. 3D printers, etc. So, nerf modding that's HvZ safe, and then some that isn't. Also, horse head vids on the side.
Thanks!

I was under the impression from 15-20 minutes of testing that the rifled faux barrels cause issues- the darts don't get a spin imparted from the rifling, if they touch it at all. Rather, they fishtail when they have wall contact. However, I haven't empirically tested this. I would recommend better flywheels with a fluted barrel. Also, make sure there isn't a lip at the and of the faux barrel- if the darts catch, even a little, they will go wild. Hope it helps!

On the prowl for Stryfe flywheels. PM or email me.

I'm in college, so I don't have the budget to experiment. I'd like your collective advice on a motor/battery combination. I've got a NiMH charger, a 9.6v 1600 mA battery (though I'd buy a new one of proper rating with no hesitation), and no motors to speak of. I've already got 18 AWG silicone insulated wire and lead free solder. So, my question is, what motors should I get? I don't want to dump clips in microseconds- if anything, I never want to accidentally fire 2 rounds with 1 trigger pull. I'd also like to avoid replacing the stock switches if possible, so that limits my amperage. The only other limiting factor is that the battery/motors have to be on Amazon, and eligible for Prime. I have looked myself, but I simly don't know enough about motors and brands to make the right choice.
Also, flywheels. Are the stock RS ones good? Does plasti-dip help any? Sanding to increase coefficient of friction? Replace them with Stryfe flywheels?
Finally, would 3D printing flywheels have any benefit?  I could up the diameter a bit and have a more grippy surface, but the layered ABS might fly to bits at high RPM.
Thanks for the help!

Looking for two Vulcan ammo boxes and more Vulcan chains.  I don't care what color the ammo boxes are or what their condition is, as long as they have the lids.  For the chains, I prefer the ones that don't have the green ends, and are instead grey all the way through, because the full-grey ones can easily be combined.  Green-cappped chains don't have the dummy links at both ends.

I am also looking for a cheap Stampede, the Toys R Us Sonic Series version if possible.  Less than or at $40 shipped.  It may seem like I'm asking too little, but I don't want or need any clips, batteries, shield, or bipod, just the main blaster.
PM system isn't working right now. I'v got an SMG stampede in cobalt and gold accents. Can't get pics or ship it till I get on break from college.  If you're in a hurry that's fine.

I have extensively painted and experimented with Krylon Fusion. DO NOT sand any base color areas (If the inside of the blaster is yellow, don't sand the yellow parts on the outside. Sand off the blacks and other colors- those are painted on, not the plastic itself.)
Also, DO NOT use primer. Coat the blaster super super thin, dozens of times. If you get this thing colored in less than 50 swipes, you're doing it wrong. My Krylon paintjobs, with no sanding and no primer, have stood up to dozens of wars without chipping or scratching. I only put clearcoat on recently- it barely makes a difference, but just in case.
WITH primer, the krylon fusion is no better than any other paint. It just sits on top. Sanded, it doesn't bond well.

Sand the pre-painted areas lightly, clean the whole thing with water, dry, rub down with a soft cloth, super thin coat it a bajillion times, wait a week for it to cure, apply hand paints, wait a few days, then clearcoat. You will never have any problems.
It doesn't 'bond' with the plastic per se- that's what a vinyl dye does. This is a less-bonding aerosol version. But it is more effective than non-plastic paint.
