I would agree with the stryfe, but I already have one, and it tends to not shoot the last 5 darts in any mag. Not sure why  this is, as to even get the rest of the darts besides the first one or two I need to push up on the mag. It may be broken, but it has been this way since I opened it, so I am very hesitant to get a new one.

This sounds like you have not done anything to the Stryfe. There is a little 'dart checker' that needs to be removed. I really can't emphasise how much that little piece needs to be removed. If the darts are not firm enough and the spring in the mag is not strong enough it won't press it up allowing you to pull the trigger at will.

I'll even help you get started with the google search. It is one little orange plastic piece and a small spring.

I think I once saw a Strayven with the pseudobarrel of the Rayven feeding into the Stryfe's flywheels - which is a very inefficient way to make an afterburner as the long pseudobarrel between the flywheel cages sheds a fair bit of velocity while doing nothing for accuracy.

What you are describing has never been done before AFAIK. You might be better off leaving the Rayven out entirely and just integrating a RS, with everything rear of the pusher replaced by a compact buttstock, to the top of the Stryfe via the RS' front barrel.

Sadly there are almost no HvZ game within my area as many colleges in my area do not host them. This is because of an incident where during a recent(ish) game a professor thought a painted blaster was a real gun and tased the kid. I will have to go to a 1day game as I do not wish to spend money on a hotel as I will have to go out of state Tongue

Hosted by Hart Ranch Resort and Gamers for Service.
The Ranch has opened the Humans Vs. Zombies event to the public! Come on in and join us for 195 acres of HvZ fun, July 9th and 10th. Missions start at 9 AM Thursday. Bring meals, or eat at the Chuck Wagon. You can tent on site- just check with the ranch first.

Six missions, with the times as follows.
Thursday, July 9th:
9 AM to 11:30 AM- Find the Source
1 PM to 5 PM- The Canyon
6 PM to 9 PM- Legendary Tales

Friday, July 10th:
9 AM to 11:30 AM- Stake a Claim
1 PM to 5 PM- Gold Rush
6 PM to 9 PM- Train Robbery

As you might be able to tell, it's a Wild West themed HvZ.

PART TWO: Charity and World RECORD!

So, Father Time's event went well, though they didn't break the record. As mentioned in my Off Topic thread, there's a 200 acre RV resort that wants to help set the record. We expect 400 campers to participate, as well as local Boy Scouts and a state RV show to pitch in with warm bodies. I need your help to make sure we crush the previous record. Details as follows.


Hart Ranch Camping Resort just south of Rapid City, South Dakota.

Thursday, July 9th, at 9 AM, until Friday, July 10th, at 9 PM. World record on Saturday, July 11th at 5 PM.

Hart Ranch, Gamers for Service, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, and ALL OF YOU! This is a free event, open to the public. Bring your own blaster, and some to spare!

Barbecue and hot dog feed to follow the record breaking, and possibly commemorative T-shirts for sale.

All participants will sign a safety waiver and receive a bracelet to show their participation.Currently, no blowguns, melee, paintball, airsoft, or Xploder. Please, foam darts or discs only. No homemade darts. Stock or safely modded, light homemades acceptable. This is a public war more than an NIC war, so prep accordingly. Zombies are respawned on respawn points rather than timers, to keep the action fast. Tag only, no 'firm grip,' since we may have a wide age range of players. Participants under ~42" tall are exempt from most infection rules.
The record will be free form or 2-team deathmatch. If you are able, please consider bringing canned goods to benefit local food banks.

Plan now, I would love to have all of you come. I'll update this post as we get more things hammered out.

Coming from a person who carries about 9 blasters on him at his local college HVZ I can give you some advice on heavy load outs. 

The first piece of advice is if it does not serve a purpose do not use it.  In my loadout I use a nerf bandoleer to carry my Alpha Trooper.  On it I have a sling stike.  Most people would say why bother having that because I carry two strong arms, a jolt, and a double strike.  The reason is I have the clip to put it on, so why not and its fun to shoot. As long as you train in your gear you will be fine.  I do not know how big the games you will be playing are, but I would also recommend ditching the 35 drum and just using all 18 mags.  I use a Duct tape holder made out of just paper and duct tape and it holds four very well and has not broken.  that way you can carry more darts and do not have to deal with a bulky drum.  Flywheel blasters are also superior to spring blasters in every way.  It is very sad for m to admit that but it is true.  you may want to replace the retaliator with a stryfe with a raider stock.  The only mods it really needs is lock removal.  Even without mods it is still really nice.  I think its cool that you have the tek3 but the nerf elite triad would probably be a better blaster instead of it.

Hope this helped.  Sorry that I kinda picked apart all of it.  Do what you want I have just found that with a heavy loadout with alot of blasters that all of them need a purpose and if there is a blaster that is better then what u have and done the same thing use the better version.

Hello HvZ! Even though I'm new and as of yet haven't played the game yet, I'd like to point out the tie to history this thread highlights so well. Better weapons negate previous combat methods. For example, as given us by Sixth Kira, when spring powered guns were the only options 3-4 zombies could rush and "kill" even a skilled player without backup. But with the advance of nerf technology providing much better ranges and rate of fire that same scenario would take quite a few more zombies to actually succeed. Or follow histories example and stop charging in mass numbers against a better armed enemy. Use cunning, stealth, and ambush tactics to make their increase in relative firepower irrelevant. History as shown us that as the weapons of war get better at killing those who actually fight the wars have to get smarter about how they fight. This maybe a redundant post and if so I apologize. But reading this I felt compelled to point out the obvious work around I the hopes that those player who are having the issues of game balance as far as weapons are concerned could point this out to their moderators in the hopes that they can rebalance the game effectively.

Picked up this off-brand blaster late last year, finally got around to re-painting it. 

From my limited tests, it makes a pretty good close combat blaster, with the high capacity (20 dart) drum and easy of reloading (you can reload on the move).  One downside is the darts it comes with are shorter than nerf darts, so you can't fire regular nerf darts.
