Here is a project I finished up about a week ago. Its a singled "sniper" bolt-action Longshot.

Yes, singled blasters arnt very practical for HvZ, but this thing is still alot of fun to play around with!

Although singling the Longshot removes the ability to use a clip, it also makes it possible to operate the blaster without the bolt sled, which is the most common failure point. Due to this fact, I opted to put in the 8kg (I believe) Orange Mod Works spring inside this bad boy and dont have to worry about it breaking.

This blaster is singled with a CPVC and has a 12in barrel, which aside from extending out the front and looking sweet also adds range. Other mods internally include a reinforced trigger to remove any slop, FBR sound reduction (but it is still pretty loud), locked and extended stock, and hot glue filled handle to reduce flex.

Cosmetically I filled the original priming slot and the mag release with Bondo for a smooth finish, followed by a grey w/ charcoal grey splatter vinyl dye paint job and black accent paint.

VISM by NcStar Molle Pals Vest (can order on amazon for).  Prices vary from $31 and change to $24, depending upon color.  The molle features allow you to put various pouches and holsters on it to fit your needs and style of play.

Check some other Nerf message boards that have sale/WTB threads. You can find one for much cheaper than $50, for sure. The going rate is about $5-$10 + shipping. I just sold the exact stock you are looking for for $13.00 shipped a few weeks ago.

You can also try using the Raider styled stock. It has the advantage of being adjustable, although not quite as strong as the Lightning Storm stock.

I main the pyragon and have been using a recon stock since it's the only I had. I've been trying to get a better stock, specifically the lightning storm stock, which seems perfect in every way.

However, no one sells these soakers anymore, and they go on ebay for at least $50 usd, and are quite rare to come across. All I need is the stock, and while I know you can get the knock off ones from tao bao I'd rather not pay upwards of $70 for just a stock.

SO: does anyone know any good places to find good stocks? Specifically the lightning storm/ switch shot ones.

I would agree with the stryfe, but I already have one, and it tends to not shoot the last 5 darts in any mag. Not sure why  this is, as to even get the rest of the darts besides the first one or two I need to push up on the mag. It may be broken, but it has been this way since I opened it, so I am very hesitant to get a new one.

This sounds like you have not done anything to the Stryfe. There is a little 'dart checker' that needs to be removed. I really can't emphasise how much that little piece needs to be removed. If the darts are not firm enough and the spring in the mag is not strong enough it won't press it up allowing you to pull the trigger at will.

I'll even help you get started with the google search. It is one little orange plastic piece and a small spring.

I think I once saw a Strayven with the pseudobarrel of the Rayven feeding into the Stryfe's flywheels - which is a very inefficient way to make an afterburner as the long pseudobarrel between the flywheel cages sheds a fair bit of velocity while doing nothing for accuracy.

What you are describing has never been done before AFAIK. You might be better off leaving the Rayven out entirely and just integrating a RS, with everything rear of the pusher replaced by a compact buttstock, to the top of the Stryfe via the RS' front barrel.

Thanks for the info and sorry about the late reply.

Sadly there are almost no HvZ game within my area as many colleges in my area do not host them. This is because of an incident where during a recent(ish) game a professor thought a painted blaster was a real gun and tased the kid. I will have to go to a 1day game as I do not wish to spend money on a hotel as I will have to go out of state Tongue
