Well, we're screwed... 5 zombies die off before 11 AM, and a few others (myself included) will go tonight... Goodbye, cruel world Well, I am looking forward and towards to the next game, which should get interesting thanks to a current aquisition from NerfHaven. To be continued... Last I checked, we're having a mission at 1pm.

Well, I walked around for about 4 hours, didn't see a single human (damn Super Bowl).
So, I'm dead, and not the living kind.
I am looking foward to the next game, though.

You should've gone to the mission. The zombies won and the reward was a free feed for each of them.

Well, here are my main recomendations for the next game:
More missions. I realize that the rain/silver taps/tests(?) put a serious crunch on the number of missions we played, but it is plain impossible on a campus of this size to expect to run into a solo human during the day. I walked around with 2 zombies for 4 hours Sun. and did not see a single human. Yes, the Superbowl was on, but come on!
Info Sheet for the OZ. I have heard of some fairly boneheaded mistakes occuring in this game (ie running at a group of humans on day 1 - wtf?!?). A strategy guide of some sort might improve the OZ's kill count so Zombies are not completely owned for the rest of the game.
Randomly assign humans. The South Side during this game was much, MUCH better armed then the North Side, and had more members to boot. As teams only matter during missions, geographic location of players matters diddley-squat (if thats how its spelled). Randomly assigning humans means that both teams can have even numbers and super groups (i.e. me and the CDC) are broken up for missions, leveling the playing field somewhat and spreading the love/firepower.
Better timing on the Cure mission. Basically, the Zombie side got decimated when a few of our best and brightest (oxymoron for a zombie, I know) got cured and left what remained to fend for themselves. At this point, we are at the 8-9 day mark, and humans still have double the numbers. I know this game will be played out till its over, but it is just against all HVZ standards for the zombies to have such godawful odds this far into the game.
Better definitions as to what is and is not a d-bag move, and some sanctions to prevent them. Details need not be recalled here.
We also need team specific forums on the website. North Side and Zombies basically had no means to organize, besides a late game facebook page. For zombies, some semblance of organization is required to take down heavily armed humans in a group (ie me and the CDC). A forum on the website would solve this problem.
Edit: Thought of another one: we need to promote this thing like our lives depended on it. The next game begins the 2nd week of March, right? Well, we should run ads in the Batt, maybe Facebook Flood everybody we know, Slap pamphlets up if we can get permission, write notices on classroom whiteboards, that sort of thing. Also, if people sign up now, they have time to go to Walmart/Target at their leisiure, so people aren't limited by what is and is not available.

Well, I've missed out on quite the conversation. Your suggestions will be taken into consideration. But we've actually moved back the start date for the next game, and it will actually begin when we all get back from spring break. We will be advertising the game in every way possible before the break, and hopefully we'll be able to boost our numbers back to where they were last semester.
As for the OZ "info sheet", we really just leave it up to the OZ(s) to determine how they want to play their role. I think most people who end up being OZs realize that their best chances for more kills is to be stealthy, but sometimes it's just plain fun to just stop mid-stride, start twitching, and charge the nearest human.
We will have team games in which we divide players up randomly, but there will also be times when people are divided by some other method. It will vary between games.
More missions is the plan, and we apologize for not having more, but some things (i.e. the weather) are beyond our control, and we don't want people getting sick with anything but the zombie plague because of this game.
I think team forums/chat rooms are in the works, I'll talk to our web master.
Zombie odds really aren't that bad, considering the number of humans who are currently active. However, we get that the zombies should have more people at this point, and we will try to remedy that in the future.

Well, the first game of HvZ at TAMU for Spring 2010 is now over. The mission started by having the Human Coalition Forces (surviving members of the APF and SFA) retrieve an airdropped box containing a radio (piece of paper) which put them in contact with an Outside Force of humans based in the remains of Ft. Hood, TX. They were informed that the HCF leader, who had been lost prior to the game, and been recovered comatose in the wilderness and had just recently reawakened after weeks of recuperation. He told them of the insane cannibals that attacked him, and expressed concern for his people. Around this time, the OF sent a reconnaissance helicopter to check out the situation and drop the radio. During their flyover, they saw the massing Hordes and knew they could never survive landing in an open field. They noticed a dual-level building with a helipad on the other side of campus, that had two sets of staircases, one leading to each level. The HCF were told to travel to that building, secure it, and radio the OF to send a well-armed, highly trained Strike Team to assist, and that they're leader insisted on returning with the ST to assist the HCF. Once securing the building, they were told that the ST was en route with an E.T.A. of 20 minutes.
(To start off, the zombies had a stun time of 5 minutes and a turn time of 5 minutes. Once the humans reached the box, they were told that the moment they moved towards the "Helipad", the stun time was reduced to 2 minutes with a 3 minute turn time. Upon securing the building, the zombies suddenly had a 30 second, you heard me, 30 second stun time with a 1 minute turn time.)
After facing wave after unending wave of zombies, the humans were forced to retreat to the second set of stairs. By this time, roughly half of their number had turned and only 10 minutes had gone by. In the next 5 minutes, the humans were forced away from the stairs out onto the Helipad itself. With 5 minutes left before the Strike Team arrived, the last human fell to the Horde. As the Strike Team approached, the leader of the human settlement of Aggieland wept as he saw the monsters still gnawing on the fallen bodies of their fallen comrades, as the newly turned corpses began to rise.....

tl;dr
Humans lost.
30 second stun time: Zombies' Hamburger Helper.
PS: I thought of something about the Last Stand. You know how the zombies started ckimbing the stairs instead of going back down?
Well, wasn't that providing cover foor the unstunned zombies behind them?
