Hi I'm the head mod for University of New Mexico.
We have week long games and our games are too big and too spread out for mods to be even close to everywhere. Unfortunately this means that sometimes a noob is tricked into giving their ID number to someone.
Is there an easy way to assign a player a new ID number?

As it stands, no. You could have them re-register on the site to generate a new ID number (just open it for registration briefly to let them join again and then close it afterwards). You could also talk to the person who originally collected the ID number through tricking the person, tell them to knock it off and just change the player back to human.

Yeah it's just sometimes hard to track them down and sometimes players want a little peace of mind by changing their number

Understandable. Lindenwood's game requires players to sign Safety Waivers and provide a phone number we can reach them at to resolve issues (much like this one) - might be something your group considers for your future games.
