quick question: Which is better for an integration, a secret strike or a jolt? which is easier to mod as well? I'm looking for something that can provide a backup while i'm reloading a clip on the blaster with the integration... Thanks!

the jolt is always better than the secret strike.........just make the jolt work in any situation and it will be better, I assure you

What skullface said. The secret strike kinda sucks, even for a SHTF blaster, because you have to pump it so much...

SSPB is a better integration gun because it is more compact and flexible. Jolts have plunger systems to contend with, which is not what you want when you just want to put an underslung backup shot on a primary. If you want a VFG as well, consider using a jolt as a VFG instead. Also, if you plan on reloading the backup quickly or firing it more than once while reloading the primary, go for the jolt and put up with the bulk increase.

In terms of integration, a SSPB is great because you can literally just slap them on anywhere and hit a single button as needed. They're fantastic on Alpha Troopers, for example, since they can be mounted by the slide grip ready to rock whenever. However, you're really only going to get that one shot, but if it saves your bacon, you're golden.
Jolts are fantastic if you can find the space, but they do require more foresight than an SSPB. Modding them into a truly vertical tube can help somewhat, but they just don't work quite as well as an SSPB in a lot of circumstances. Easier to make multi-firing than an SSPB, sure, but they're still not going to be rapid-firing any time soon.

I made a homemade bandolier for about 5-6 dollars. Should I optimize it for carrying ammo or socks or ammo and socks? I'll post pics up later on.

That all depends on what blaster(s) you plan on using. If you're using a clip system blaster, i would do two or three spots for clips, not individual darts, and then the rest socks. If you are using a barricade, or other non-clip blaster, I would have room for 1 or 2 full refills for your chamber and then the rest socks... Or there is always the overall effective sock ninja option... it really all depends on your ammo consumption

Wrong thread, but I would use a dedicated solution for socks and avoid the carriage of mags in a bandolier.
Post Merge: August 02, 2012, 08:00:50 PM Back on topic: Checked on the local Target (Orlando, FL) and found much new shit.
NSE stuff has landed, one day after the release date, in one of the worse stores for up-to-date and complete Nerf inventory in my area. 12/30 round packs, mags, Rampage, Retaliator. No 75 round cases, Hailfire mag kits, or Hailfires. On the NDT front... strike, no Snapfire. However, Pyragons were present.
I bought some NSE darts in J code. Result: Possibly better stability than K-code NSE, and better barrel fit.
Buzzbee's 2012 offerings were all there: Rangemaster (Orion), Cougar, Jaguar, AND OVERLORD, WHICH IS A FLYWHEEL GUN. *whoopee cushion*
