Actually, I was thinking that the white discs would be better ammo as they'd stand out in the grass more than the green ones. But that doesn't have as much to do with the blaster itself...
Still, interesting to see how these new glow-in-the-dark blasters will impact the HvZ scene.

Then I hate to say it, but you have no interest. It's the size of a 20, but it only holds 10. The rest of the space is for the batteries/LEDs for the "Firefly Tech". Look closely at the box art, and you can see there are no discs in the bottom 1/3 ish of the mag. Goddammit. Well, there goes the small possibility I might have bought this one.

Well it looks like I have no more excuses to pick up a praxis. Im going to buy a ton of those white refill discs. But I will not buy the silly Lumitron.

Well, I saw that coming. The early concept art (revealed around the time of Rayven and Speedswarm boxes) showed the Lumitron as a red-scheme Praxis with what looked like a 20rd mag in it. I guessed tracer discs based on the Rayven and the name "Lumitron". And what do you know, tracer discs. The lack of included stock is rather disappointing, as is the fact that the mag is not 20rd, but I like the slightly safer (tactically) green scheme over the Praxis orange-heavy zombie bait PJ. I also think the Firefly mags are cool. Tracers = want. And the stock I don't really care about, because I would use a superior Raider stock anyway.
White discs should cut losses of expensive ammo; experience with Whiteout darts at my game indicates that white is optimal (over even orange or yellow) for visibility in vegetation.

I went to Target after lunch today, and like Eraser, I saw:
Rayven: $29.99. I bought one. Will post preliminary evaluations ASAP in the Rayven thread.
Vortex 20-disc Pack - $8.99 (0.4495/disc) Vortex 40-disc Pack - $14.99 ($0.37475/disc). For short HvZ games where ammo is recoverable when the match ends, the 40-disc packs are great, considering the durability of the discs. However, $0.37475/round is still a bit steep for campus games, considering that streamlines can be had for $0.20/round.

Maybe a sale? I have never seen new blasters go on sale. That would explain swarmfire and rf20 for sale, but not the speedswarm and rayven.

Found swarmfires for $10 in the woodlands, TX. The sticker claims the sale will last until march. This doesn't seem to be universal, however, as a walmart just down I45 in spring still had them for $30

No idea. I don't go there often, but I will be picking up a few more swarmies.
