I came across HvZ through Nerfhaven and decided to look up information about it and I saw the HvZ website...I read the rules and I knew immediately that I wanted to get it started at the World's Most Exciting Christian University. Ive talked to my connections at Student Activities and now its just a matter of getting administration (Im friends with the chancellor so that should help). There are a couple smaller groups on campus who play "speed games" and Im hoping to work with them to maybe get a larger game going by the end of school or at the very latest next fall semester.

Oh boy...

All I gotta say is, good luck.

You might want to rename the game. I don't know what LU's stance on Zombies and Voodoo/the Occult is, but can't imagine it being helpful in you getting your game approved.

On that same note, I go to Colorado Christian University, so far I've had nothing but good news about starting the game. The head of Student affairs and many of the higher ups have already heard of the game and heard good things about it as well. Most of the people running RHA and similar organizations are already backing me. The final stages of approval should occur Tuesday. I'm not sure how strict your campus is on the stuff Ozy is talking about, but I do know that my college really seems to understand that this is just a game and and a successful game at that. Don't lose hope and do your research, the more planned out it is when you go to the administration, the easier it is for you to answer questions and for them to say yes. Good Luck!

yes agreed.  How about Christians vs. Non-Christians? The Non-Christians are trying to convert the Christians by tagging them, and the christians can use "Holy Water" (aka nerf darts and socks.)

HvZ virgin, but nerf blasters and zombies have always been my thing. Thus, Marian University will have HvZ.

Somehow, I don't think that would work...

If you allow zombies to use foam swords, you could have pirates v ninjas.

I attached the rule set that the Gnarwhal Studios uses when they run games at festivals, etc.   Much of this will probably be best for a game limited to three days.  You'll probably want to restrict play inside buildings.

The basic thing for a short game, I think, it to start with more Original Zombies and shorten their stun time and incubation period (so players become zombies sooner after being tagged).

Restricting automatics at first is a given.

Thanks. I am gonna make some modifications to accomodate where I am at and hopefully get together with a friend of mine and make this happen before school lets out...otherwise I'll try again in the fall (unless I get a job that takes me away from Lynchburg)

Well I emailed the Office of Student Activities and unfortunately the schedule in their office is full but they said that a number of students have expressed interest in a game being launched at Liberty so they are going to see about launching one in the fall. Im working on getting a job but if Im still in school come the fall, I'll be working with them directly (along with some help from the Student Govenment Association) to get the game on the schedule for Freshman Week or at least on the calendar for the semester

Be sure you gather together a preliminary Mod squad so your dream doesn't die if you end up working and are too busy to continue organizing a game.  Find some of those interested students and point them our way, the forums love helping to set up new games.
