Whoop! Looks like I may just have to swing by TRU to check it out.

I actually went to TRU this afternoon after I saw this post.  No HvZ blasters there yet.

Alright, now that they are deemed official, I think I might actually pick one up. Then replicate the paint scheme of shuffling zombies onto another blaster. Don't know if it'll see play though.
They're stickers though... double check the pics though. I might be wrong...

This makes me sad because the Air Zone Dart Blaster (which this HEAVILY resembles) is kinda a complete pile until you throw the turret from it into an Octoshot (mine, naturally, is still having issues with the rotation mech not playing nice with the upgraded seal). This could be a neat step forward, however. Hopefully, more blasters will receive the HvZ treatment with Hasbro eventually jumping on board leading to a day when blasters are designed and marketed expressly to HvZ players (more compact and streamline designs, more favorable weight distribution, etc). Performance and mod-ability will still come down to luck, even in the best case scenario, as evidenced by the use of reverse plunger systems and the numerous warning labels both on the packaging and blasters themselves.

I believe that Nerf's marketing division has been on board with this idea for a while now (older and older box art models). Of course, I could be way off and Air Zone could just be treating it like a movie release promo (ala Iron Man, Transformers, Batman, whatever).

Nope.avi.

The deal is with TRU, which means they will probably be Airzone reskins.

I might pick up a HvZ colors Tripleshot if that came out.

Picked up one at my local TRU (San Jose, CA) on the way home from work. Price is $11.99.
The box does not lie, I found it to be decent out to around 25 feet.

The grip is a little small, and I have small hands. My pinky hangs over, as seen in the last pic.

I took some pics with other blasters for size comparison. In addition there are 2 tac rails, on which I slapped some NERF accessories for show.

Imageshack flipped some of the images, sorry about that.

I almost splurged and bought a whiteout arsenal today. I would have run me 60 bucks that I don't have. I resisted, though I may pick up the whiteout NF, as my holdout weapon, cuz it looks awesome.

Depending on how much I can find it for, I might be convinced to buy this and mod it.

Hey guys, I just want to say that TRU did license these toys with us. It's official and they're not infringing on our mark. I can't say anything else due to legal reasons. We're working on a press release. Believe us, we want to let y'all know.

I doubt they're getting sued >_>

Even so, still will be easy to replicate in paint form. Sand blaster, prime, paint white, trace stickers onto tracing paper then to vinyl, place in desired location, paint gray, after paint is dry, remove vinyl and clear followed by 2000 grit wet sand.
