Hey. I found it. The single greatest blaster in the history of time. There is no trumping this. I'm linking to the image, but I refuse to post it in here, for fear that your tears of joy and awe will stain this thread. Be prepared. Gird your loins. Now ungird them, that was just a practice gird. Now gird them for realsies. Yeah. Just like that. Breathe. Keep breathing, just like you practiced, every minute of every day.

is that a rifle scope? I think I remember something about "no sniping in nerf" if you are wondering why people on nerfhaven loathe you, this is why

I think it was tongue-in-cheek, no need to get worked up. I've considered using a cheap scope for spotting, it can be handy to figure out if you're looking at zombies or non-players from a distance.

(Besides, fuck NH, seriously)

Just a little bit of a reminder, please use caution if you ever plan on using this in an HvZ game. I could see someone seeing an actual riffle scope and call the cops. This would be bad press for both you, HvZ, and your school.

2nd that.

That... thing has more scope than it does gun, and that scope is scary and black and dangerous-looking to civilians who don't see it as just an optical device. Orange tape time!

(Sidenote: Now I want to make that thing perform like it looks. All metal high pressure (400-800 PSI perhaps?) airtank, 3/8" piston valve? Would need a barrel but I think you could put something 150'+ capable inside an eliminator if you really wanted to make one snipe. After all, unexpanded hornet tanks have shot 90s AND fit into eliminators before! It's a NH thread, "Tiny Tim".)

This thing I must say this is a Win! (or a complete Fail, I can't even tell)

To Sklover: As long as he never paints his "handcannon" I think he's fine, I rolled with a scope on one of my blasters(not painted), for scouting.
torukmakto4: I agree with you as well though, some nice orange safety tape(I think it exists) would go perfectly with that.

Man, not many humor appreciating people on here... Markus, I think its so awesome I almost passed out looking at it!

On a serious note, since we had a guy get to the final 3 people at our game of around 5-600 here at OSU using that gun without the scope, and I watched him 5-6 plus zombies on one charge with it without a scope! I hesitate to think how awesome it would be with one :p

I saw that thread and I was secretly hoping for somebody to reference it. I always wanted to call that mod of this blaster the noisy cricket.

After shit like this you could never be too cautions! I do think that it is bad ass, but if I saw an actual riffle scope hidden in someones jacket or somehow did not see the blaster, I would be very disconcerted. Just sayin'...

^ This. We don't need anyone seeing any firearm paraphernalia and freaking out. Fluorescent orange tape, and lots of it, is called for.

And even then, the jacket deal brings up a point here: NEVER, EVER conceal a pistol. That is how I would guess the majority of false gun threats related to hvz originate: someone sees a gun-shaped object under clothing or sees someone's hand on a pistol grip, and has no way of determining that the gun they are seeing is a Nerf gun and not a firearm. Nerf pistols in hand can be shielded from view so as to give the same effect: others may only see the hand clenching an unidentified grip and apparently intending to shoot things.

Watch out.

Jolts especially, do NOT sketch around with them things! They are solid orange, yes, but they disappear into the hand from the butt of the grip to the muzzle of the barrel, and it IS obvious that you are wielding... something, although exactly what may seem up in the air.
