Heyllote. I'm Deathbynature, I'm video maker and Nerf lover.
This is Round 1 of the HvZ match at Townsville Nerf Society's October War in Queensland, Australia.

This was the last TNS war I attended before moving down to Melbourne, Victoria. I miss these guys.
However I'm keen to film at HumansVsZombies Melbourne and HumansVsZombies Victoria events.
Happy Hunting.

It's great to see HvZ players from around the world. Pretty entertaining and from what I saw very good-natured players. Kids were adorable.

Yeah. Smiley The organiser, David, is a great guy. No nonsense but fun loving attitude. He had to work hard to get these events started and continue running.

Nice videos I have always liked HvZ games where humans have to scavenge for ammo and supplies, were the zombies using a respawn timer or respawn point? Anyway hope you enjoy being down here in Melbourne I play mostly with HvZ Melb and NERFcore, but I have played with HvZ Vic in the past. There is also the Melb Nerf Group and The Foam Militia. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Thanks Metro. I hadn't heard of NerfCore. Though Foam Militia seems to be specifically aimed at fathers and sons with invite only.
I have already filmed at MNG, HvZ Mel and HvZ Vic, gotta push hard to get those videos edited.

Just throwing it out there - as someone who regularly attends games in Melbourne, I would NOT advise attending HvZ Melb's games in any capacity whatsoever. Anyone who wants to know why should talk to Anthony, either at a Victoria HvZ game (yes, HvZ Victoria and HvZ Melbourne are completely different organisations) or on the HvZ Victoria forums (link to the site: http://humansvszombiesvictoria.com.au/).

Well as stated above I also regularly attend Nerf events in Melbourne, I find that both HvZ Melb and HvZ Vic run fun, safe and legal events in fact the only major criticism I can level at the groups is the childish rivalry they seem to have. Rather than working together to build the Nerf community they split the playing group and put people off HvZ with their negative attitudes to each other.

Now at the risk of being drawn into this drama I think it is very unfair of you Sixth Kira to encourage people not to attend HvZ Melb events but not state what issue/s you have with the group preventing the HvZ Melb admins from being able to responded and/or address your concerns.

Sorry to further derail your thread Deathbynature, I’m looking forward to watching both your HvZ Vic and HvZ Melb videos!

As for HvZ Victoria and HvZ Melbourne and a bit of Melbourne Nerf Group (they're NIC).
In fighting and bad mouthing within a niche community is POINTLESS. HvZ and NIC is a SOCIAL FANDOM COMMUNITY, it's for fun.
Let's say the other group dissolves overnight, you don't gain anything, you don't win. You lose an opportunity.
Imagine a HvZ event every fortnight with the admins and organizers of the other group being able to relax and play the game.
I've been a committee member and event organizer of an Anime Club and we've dealt with egocentric and egotistical maniacs who think their way is the only way and have threatened legal action, caused trouble and generally bad mouthed everyone involved with the club because they weren't the only person in charge.
We've also dealt with lack luster, socially disabled or just lazy admins and organizers because no one else would put their hand up for the job or they wanted the job even though they did have the time or couldn't do it.
There is NO power to be gained from being a volunteer at a not for profit social group based on a fandom.
Also being an incorporate or not doesn't make a group superior. It's just different ways of doing the same thing, with both having pros and cons. Both are legal.

This is irrelevant now anyway.
Anthony is no longer HvZV committee president and Connor, HvZM founder, is busy with life so she's now a background admin.
I have been friends for awhile with the now current organizers of both HvZV and HvZM and I finally got them to meet and they got along awesomely. And that's it, that's my point!
The purpose of social group, club or gathering is to have fun, meet people who share your passion and make friends.
So now let's get on with the game.
