One of my mods, Max, received word from her that the higher-ups are concerned with the Nerf Blasters at the school. and I'd hate to say it but, a game of HvZ without blasters is just lame. If Nerf blasters get shot down (no pun intended) then quite honestly I'll have lost my motivation to play.
I got a crazy idea.

MICA is a liberal arts college, right?

Well, how about incorporating something artistic into the game?

For example, maybe have some sort of award for the best paint-job on a blaster, or produce an indie film with hvz as a central plot element?

Zombie fashion show?  Grin
The problems (as addressed at the CU game this week) is that realistic colored nerf guns might be even more alarming to the idiots in charge.
Stick with the silly kiddy colors, and show them in the original presentation about game safety, how harmless they are, and how nobody will be allowed to conceal them. Like this CU game (only off-campus), they're either completely out-of-game tucked away, or they're completely out in the open & obvious toys.
